Weights

Another thing that helps increase speed in weight training. It helps build muscles that help increase speed. I worked on two different things that both help improve speed. The first one was deadlift which is similar to the book of bend over row. The Bend over row similar to the dead lift as it says in the book helps with running posture, which is an important thing that is one of the basics of running. Good posture leads into good running form, without good posture it will result in bad running form which then leads to slow speed. Another exercise that I am doing is pull ups. Pull ups also help with good posture and a strong back which helps with the proper arm movement. When running it is important that your arms and legs move. If the arms don't move then the legs can't move as fast. The legs and arms work together to increase speed.

  1. Wow I love your pictures and the video. You look great!! Which exercise do you think helps the most with increasing speed while running? Which is your favorite?

  2. Thanks Suki. Some of the exercises that help the most in my opinion are Squats and Deadlifts because they both deal with strengthening legs which is one of the most important things for running. Also I recommend some core exercise like planks and sit-ups. A strong core is another thing that is important when you run so you can increase stabilization and reduce wobbling and bad posture when running. Personally I don't have a favorite. But I hope this helps
