Bringing the Outside In

Nature is beautiful. It's no wonder that people try to surround themselves with plants. Plants are also decorations. Having a color palette when decorating will create a unity between the decorations. When creating a color palette with plants in mind, try complimenting the colors together.

Complementary colors are opposite each other on the color wheel. For example, yellow and purple compliment each other while dark blue and red don't. Green plants go well with pastel or patterned pinks, while flowers can pop against white backdrops.
Example found online of color matching
There are many items that can work as vases. Old teapots and cookie jars are perfect candidates. As long as there's drainage, any objects can become a vase. Vases should be matched to the plant as well. Glass objects, such as science beakers, work well with bulbs, flower arrangements, and other plants that don't need soil. Strong objects should be used for deep-rooting plants.

How do you bring the outside in?
