The Mini hurdles that I am running over helps you increase the length of your stride as you begin to sprint. Also it forces you to pick up your feet and lift your knees while sprinting. Doing this drill helps increase speed because it makes you lift your feet which is necessary to the drive phase. This then also helps you pick up your knees towards the middle of the drill which then helps you posture up and stay balanced while at top in speed. In this drill it helps balance because you have to be balanced to make it through the drill unless you will kick the mini hurdles or fall down. This drill is important because it helps with your form while running it makes you not kick your legs everywhere which results in backward mechanics but yet it does the opposite and helps fix these bad habits of running which will result in getting faster.
