iPhone Photography Post #1

Photos are a huge part of life. You see it everywhere from family albums to social media. I’ve decided to pick the book The iPhone Photographer by Michael Fagans. I want to learn how to improve my photography skills so that I can have a striking Instagram feed. Not everyone has a professional camera so why not use your phone?

“In all of photography, editing is the key. There are many times when editing can get you to focus on what you were engaged in. When you can do the editing in-camera, the images become stronger” (Fagans 76).
This section of the book was focusing on editing pictures using different apps. Before I take my pictures, I will make sure to focus in on what I'm trying to capture and to be careful not to include any unwanted space within the shot.
I edited this picture using the app Lightroom. I increased the contrast and highlight and decreased the tint. In addition, I also dehazed the picture and improved the clarity. Finally, I enhanced the sharpening. Editing is one of many skills on which I want to improve.

Question: What apps and editing skills do you use to improve pictures?
