Image result for edited pictures before and after of nature
This was a picture that I took in Renton a little while ago. I focused on really capturing the colors of the leaves and tried to make the trees and leaves balance one another and make the picture look complete. This picture was hard to take because it was kind of dark out and the lighting was not the best but over all I was satisfied and happy with this result. To take this picture I had to kneel down to really capture the leaves and had to angle my camera in a way that you could see both the leaves and the trees but I wanted the leaves to be more focused so I decided to kneel and have the leaves closer to the camera and have the trees act as a background to the leaves in a way. I got this idea and technique from the book Photography by Barbra London. The book says "Backgrounds are a very important part of a picture. When taking a picture you want to have two main parts. The main focus which should be closest to the camera and most eye catching, and the background which contrasts the main object (Photography 67, London." This evidence helped me pick out a new technique and helped me pick out what my background and my main focus for this picture would be. As you can see I chose the leaves to be my main focus and for the trees to be my background and contrast the leaves that are on the floor. Kneeling down on the floor really helped my get a better angle of the leaves and draw more attention to them. If I were to do this again I would try to take the picture earlier in the day so that the lighting is improved and lighter.

  1. Good job, the leaves really pop against the trees! In decorating, the background is also important. The background really accentuates your style. For example, people with colorful styles should choose monochrome backgrounds so the objects stand out.

    1. Thanks Musamil. I took this picture around 3:00 PM however I think the picture would have looked better if I took it a little bit earlier in the day. Also no I did not edit this picture in any way.
