In conclusion, after reading and practicing The Classic Piano Course by Carol Barratt for about 3 months, I have gone from knowing nothing about the piano to being able to play some beginner pieces. I feel like not only does this book teach me how to play piano, but it also gives good insight to the history of music and the composers behind each piece.
For practicing, the average amount I would practice each week would probably be about 30 minutes per week. However, most people would recommend at least 20 minutes per day to see better results.
To anyone who is interested in learning the piano, I would recommend this book due to the fact that it doesn't waste too much time discussing chords and irrelevant information early on. When you at least have a feel of how the piano is played, then you can read other books with more text.

If you could choose go back and choose a new book for quarter two, would you change or choose the same book?
