Since the beginning of this IRP, I feel I've made myself a little healthier, but also my whole family. My brother would often walk or run with me and my mom has started going to the gym more often. Even a little exercise a day is better than none. Running also helps remind me to drink more water which i have a bad habit of avoiding. After jogging or walking for a long time makes me
want to drink water rather than feeling forced to. On average, I probably drink three cups a day which is a major improvement for me. Yes, I know teens need about eight a day, but I just developed the habit of only drinking water when absolutely necessary.
Anyways, I had planned to do a 5K running event near the end of this IRP and then blog about it. I couldn't find one, but my mom is excited to get the whole family involved and participate in the Hot Chocolate 5K in Seattle. It's in early March and by doing a short 5K, my whole family can do it and have some fun.
Has anyone participated in this event before? Did you like it?
