In track there is an acronym for treating injuries. P.R.I.C.E., protect, rest, ice, compression, and elevation. During a run, I noticed that my knees were in a lot of pain, so I immediately began treating it. I left the trail and went home (Protection), sat down with some water and some snacks (Rest), put two bags of frozen peas on each knee (Ice), ace wrapped both knees (Compression), and elevated it for the rest of the evening (Elevation).
